Effective Date: June 2, 2026 Last Updated: June 2, 2026
OnRoady ("we," "us," or "our") respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users of the Service to do the same. This policy explains how to submit a notice of claimed copyright infringement under the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act ("DMCA"), 17 U.S.C. § 512, and how a user whose content has been removed can submit a counter-notice.
1. Designated Copyright Agent
Notices of claimed infringement must be sent to our designated copyright agent:
Name: DMCA Agent, OnRoady Email: dmca@onroady.app Mailing Address: OnRoady LLC, Attn: DMCA Agent, 101 E. San Fernando St Suite 138, San Jose, CA 95112, USA
Our designated agent is also registered with the U.S. Copyright Office at copyright.gov/dmca-directory.
2. Submitting a Notice of Claimed Infringement
To be effective under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3)(A), a notice must include all six of the following elements:
- Signature. A physical or electronic signature of the person authorised to act on behalf of the owner of the exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
- Identification of the copyrighted work. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed (or, if multiple works, a representative list).
- Identification of the infringing material. Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing and information reasonably sufficient to permit us to locate the material — for OnRoady this usually means a bounty ID, a video URL, or a screenshot.
- Contact information. Information reasonably sufficient to permit us to contact you: name, postal address, telephone number, and an email address.
- Good-faith statement. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- Accuracy and authority statement. A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or are authorised to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
You may submit your notice by email to dmca@onroady.app or by mail to the address above. Email is faster.
Misrepresentation warning. Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), anyone who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing may be liable for damages, including costs and attorneys' fees, incurred by the alleged infringer or by us in relying on the misrepresentation.
3. What We Do When We Receive a Valid Notice
Upon receiving a notice that substantially complies with the requirements above:
- We will expeditiously remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material.
- We will take reasonable steps to notify the user who uploaded the material that their content has been removed in response to a DMCA notice, and we will forward a copy of the notice (with your contact information) to that user so they may respond.
- We will track the removal in our internal moderation log.
We may, in our discretion, terminate the accounts of users who are repeat infringers.
4. Counter-Notice Procedure
If you are a user whose content was removed in response to a DMCA notice and you believe the removal was the result of a mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notice. To be effective under 17 U.S.C. § 512(g)(3), a counter-notice must include:
- Signature. Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the removed material. Identification of the material that has been removed or to which access has been disabled and the location at which the material appeared before it was removed or access to it was disabled (such as the bounty ID).
- Good-faith statement under penalty of perjury. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- Contact information and consent to jurisdiction. Your name, postal address, telephone number, email address, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the U.S. Federal District Court for the judicial district in which your address is located (or, if your address is outside the United States, for any judicial district in which OnRoady may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original notice or an agent of that person.
Send counter-notices to dmca@onroady.app or to the postal address above.
If we receive a valid counter-notice, we will forward it to the original notice submitter. We will restore the removed material unless the original submitter files an action seeking a court order against you within 10–14 business days of our receipt of the counter-notice.
Misrepresentation warning. As with notices, knowingly material misrepresentation in a counter-notice may result in liability under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f).
5. Repeat-Infringer Policy
It is OnRoady's policy, in appropriate circumstances and at our discretion, to disable and/or terminate the accounts of users who are deemed repeat infringers. A "repeat infringer" is generally a user who has received two or more valid DMCA notices that resulted in content removal within a 12-month window, but we evaluate each case on its facts.
6. Modifications
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
