For drivers
Your dashcam is already running. When a requester near your route wants footage from a specific time and place, OnRoady alerts you. Submit a clip, get paid through Stripe.
For requesters
Want to see a place you can't be? Post a bounty — time, location, what you'd like to see — and nearby drivers with relevant footage can submit clips. You only pay when you accept a match.
How it works
- Post or claim — Requesters describe what they want to see and where; drivers in the area get notified if their route overlaps.
- Submit — Drivers upload the relevant clip from their dashcam. OnRoady auto-blurs faces and license plates of bystanders.
- Review — Requester accepts the clip. Stripe releases the bounty from escrow to the driver.
Safety, privacy, and trust
- All faces and license plates on uploaded footage are automatically blurred for bystanders.
- Drivers are independent contractors and must hold their own auto insurance — OnRoady does not insure driving activity.
- Audio recording is disabled by default in all US states that require all-party consent (California, Illinois, Pennsylvania, Florida, Maryland, Michigan, Montana, Nevada, New Hampshire, Oregon, Washington, and Connecticut). Where audio is enabled in a one-party-consent state, the driver is responsible for compliance with local law.
- Identity verification (KYC) is required before any driver can receive a payout.
- Every bounty is screened against a prohibited-use list to keep the marketplace focused on legitimate curiosity and travel-and-discovery use cases. Three user reports trigger automatic suspension pending review.
